Reacting to Recount

Students in CORE Charter School recently viewed the movie Recount. Please comment and react to the movie. I would like to start a conversation about the events surrounding the 2000 election. What exactly happened in Florida?

I thought the movie was really slanted. The movie made Bush's side the republicans look cheaters and mean people. Overall in an election I believe all votes must be counted.

i think that the movie was really slanted towards the republicans and made the democrats look bad. i think the government needs to stick to what they say and not change what there going to do everyday.

I agree with Vinny the movie was slanted they made Bush's side seem like the bad people and made Gore's people seem like the victims.

Another thing i didnt like is if a vote was for Gore then the people representing Bush would reject it when it was clear it was for Gore.

I think the movie was amazing even though somewhat biased. It really captured the chaos and the mayhem that happened during that election. All in all i believe that the movie inpacted me in a way that sends me towrds the interest in politics.

the movie it self was incredible the journey about the 2000 election. in the end the supreme court ruled that they should not further move the recount of the diabolical votes that were made to see who would win the state of florida even though al gore was supposivly to win the state of florida. The elder people were mistaken by the ballets that were made in the 2000 election for the 44th president. the movie it self was very slanted going back and forth between the republican and the democrats. both were fighting for there side to win. in the end george w bush won the presidency election. but what purpose made them do a recount because rexources say that they didnt let half of the african americans vote because half of them were either fellons or had fellons of people with there last name. this is a racist statement i know but the thought is for the people about racism is still around.
